Our commitment
Safety Stance
We take a clear position on how we prescribe, what we prescribe, and what we will never prescribe.
Licensed providers, every time
Every patient at Scoreboard Health is evaluated by a licensed medical provider — a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant — practicing under applicable state law. No prescription is issued without a valid clinician-patient relationship established through a documented telehealth encounter. We do not use AI to make prescribing decisions.
Compounded medications: what we use and why
Some medications we prescribe are compounded by a licensed 503A/503B compounding pharmacy. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved in the same manner as commercially manufactured drugs. We use compounded formulations when a commercially available FDA-approved equivalent is unavailable, when a patient requires a specific dose or delivery method not commercially offered, or when supply constraints make the commercial product inaccessible. We require partner pharmacies to maintain current accreditation and quality-assurance documentation.
No research-only peptides for human use
Scoreboard Health does not prescribe, dispense, or facilitate access to peptides or compounds classified as research chemicals or labeled "not for human use." We do not offer BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, PT-141, or similar compounds outside of a valid FDA-approved or lawfully compounded clinical context. If a compound lacks a clear legal pathway for human therapeutic use, we will not prescribe it — regardless of demand or anecdotal reports.
Informed consent and shared decision-making
Before starting any treatment, patients receive clear information about the medication's mechanism, expected benefits, known risks, monitoring requirements, and alternatives. Consent is documented. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and to seek a second opinion. We do not pressure patients toward any particular treatment.
Ongoing monitoring
Hormone therapy and metabolic treatments require regular lab monitoring. We build follow-up labs and check-ins into every treatment plan. If a patient's labs indicate a safety concern, the prescribing clinician will adjust or pause treatment. We do not continue prescribing indefinitely without clinical review.
