Everything you need to know about getting started with Scoreboard Health.
Getting Started
Start by ordering your lab panel directly through our platform — no referral or prior diagnosis required. We send you a requisition for a comprehensive hormone and metabolic panel, which you complete at any LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics location near you. Once your results are in, a licensed provider reviews them and schedules your consultation, typically within 48 hours. From there, if treatment is appropriate, your prescription is sent to the pharmacy and your first shipment arrives within a few business days. You can review the full process on our How It Works page.
How It WorksNo referral is needed. You can begin the intake process directly through Scoreboard Health without a prior diagnosis or a referral from another provider. Our licensed providers evaluate your lab results and symptoms independently and determine whether treatment is clinically appropriate for you. If it is not, we will tell you clearly and explain why.
Scoreboard Health currently serves patients in all 50 US states. All consultations are conducted via telehealth — no in-person visits are required at any point. You complete your lab draw at a local collection site, and everything else — consultation, prescription, and ongoing care — happens through our platform.
From the time you order your lab panel to receiving your first medication, the typical timeline is 5–10 business days. Lab results are generally available within 24–48 hours of your draw. Your provider consultation is scheduled within 48 hours of results being ready. Once your prescription is issued, medications ship within 3–5 business days. See the full step-by-step breakdown on our How It Works page.

Dominia HealthTreatments & Medications
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished drug products — this is true of all compounded medications, not just ours. Compounded medications are not generic equivalents of brand-name products. All medications dispensed through Scoreboard Health are compounded by a licensed 503A/503B compounding pharmacy. You can review the full list of available treatments on our Treatments page.
TreatmentsCommercial medications are manufactured by pharmaceutical companies in fixed doses and formulations and are FDA-approved as finished products. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not generic equivalents of brand-name products. They are custom-prepared by a licensed 503A/503B compounding pharmacy, which allows for specific doses, delivery methods, and combinations that are not available commercially. For example, a patient may need a testosterone dose or concentration not offered in any commercial product, or may prefer a subcutaneous injection formulation over an intramuscular one.
Exogenous testosterone suppresses the body's own production of LH and FSH — the hormones that signal the testes to produce sperm. This means standard TRT can significantly reduce sperm production, sometimes to near-zero, while you are on it. If fertility preservation is a priority, there are alternatives. Enclomiphene stimulates your body's own testosterone production through the HPG axis, preserving testicular function and spermatogenesis. hCG can be added alongside testosterone therapy to maintain testicular stimulation. Your provider will discuss your fertility goals during your consultation and recommend the most appropriate protocol. You can read more about these options on our Treatments page.
TreatmentsSome men and their clinicians consider combining TRT and GLP-1 approaches; results vary and are not guaranteed. GLP-1 medications may reduce appetite and support metabolic goals, while optimized testosterone may help preserve lean muscle during a caloric deficit. Your provider will assess your labs, body composition goals, and overall health to determine whether a combined protocol is appropriate for you. Both protocols are available through Scoreboard Health — see our Treatments page for details.
TreatmentsPricing & Insurance
Scoreboard Health operates on a transparent cash-pay model. We do not bill insurance. This approach keeps our pricing clear and predictable, eliminates prior authorization delays, and removes the restrictions that insurance-based care often places on treatment options. You always know exactly what you are paying before you commit to anything.
Pricing varies by protocol and is displayed clearly during the intake process — there are no hidden fees or surprise charges. Lab panel costs, provider consultation fees, and monthly medication costs are all itemized before you pay anything. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not generic equivalents of brand-name products; pricing reflects the compounded preparation.
In most cases, yes. Telehealth consultations and prescription medications are generally eligible expenses under Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Lab panel costs are also typically eligible. We recommend confirming eligibility with your plan administrator, as rules can vary by plan. We can provide itemized receipts for all charges to support your reimbursement request.
Ongoing Care
We recommend follow-up labs at 3 months after starting treatment, then every 6 months once your levels are stable and your protocol is dialed in. For patients on testosterone therapy, follow-up panels include total and free testosterone, estradiol, hematocrit, and a metabolic panel. For patients on GLP-1 medications, we monitor metabolic markers and body composition progress. Your provider may adjust the monitoring schedule based on your individual protocol and response to treatment.
Yes. You have direct access to your care team via secure messaging through our platform. If you have questions about your protocol, are experiencing side effects, or want to discuss adjustments to your treatment, you can message your provider at any time. Most messages receive a response within one business day.
Side effects are uncommon when protocols are properly dosed and monitored, but they can occur. Common manageable effects on TRT include elevated hematocrit, estradiol fluctuations, and injection site reactions — all of which are addressed through protocol adjustments. GLP-1 side effects are primarily gastrointestinal and typically resolve as your body adjusts during dose titration. If you want to discontinue treatment at any time, you can do so. Your provider will advise on an appropriate tapering approach to minimize transition effects, particularly for testosterone therapy, where a structured wind-down supports a smoother recovery of your natural hormone axis.
